Jawaher Al-Hakil, liver donor
I was born with the traits of generosity and giving, believing since my teenage years that I could perform miracles with this body through giving. I was working in a small café as a side job when a customer came in and asked for prayers for his sick daughter. I gave him my number and offered to help with medical tests and expenses. Months passed without any contact from him, so I went looking for another person in need.
Once, while with my colleague, I expressed my desire to donate part of my liver if she knew someone in need. She told me that a relative of hers had a daughter on the brink of death and urgently needed a liver transplant. I asked for his number, called him, and expressed my serious intention to donate.
When we met for tests, I discovered that he was the same customer I had met at work. God guided me to help him!
Two days before the surgery, I felt some hesitation, but I relied on God and went through with the operation, which was succeeded by His grace. I entered with certainty and came out with two healed souls.
In it, we saved Jamana, a two-year-old girl. What I want now is for this child to grow up and continue the model of giving as I began it.
This lesson taught me that giving is a human duty for support, and there is no room for hesitation in it.
