The Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation has launched the “Law Mennak 9” campaign, a humanitarian initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of organ donation after death.
At the heart of the campaign is a unique silent exhibition designed to reflect the lived experiences of patients suffering from organ failure. The concept places visitors in front of nine mirrors—not just to see their own reflection, but to encounter real stories that represent patients waiting for a second chance at life. Each mirror tells the story of a different individual facing serious health and social challenges due to the failure of vital organs such as the heart, liver, or kidneys.
Through these stories, visitors gain a deeper understanding of the daily struggles these patients endure, as well as the hope they hold while waiting for a donor. The exhibition delivers a powerful message: every individual has the potential to save lives through organ donation.
The campaign comes at a time when the need for organ donors continues to grow. Thousands of patients depend on transplantation as their only life-saving option. “Law Mennak 9” seeks to encourage public engagement with the cause, increase awareness, and address common misconceptions surrounding organ donation after death.
Organ donation is a deeply meaningful humanitarian decision that restores hope and transforms lives. Although awareness has improved and donor numbers have increased, they remain insufficient compared to the number of patients on waiting lists. Campaigns like this play a vital role in shaping public perception and encouraging informed decisions.
Through this initiative and other educational programs, the Center aims to deliver a clear and impactful message about the importance of organ donation, inspiring individuals to consider the lasting positive impact they can have on others—even after their passing.
“Law Mennak 9”is part of SCOT’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the culture of organ donation and highlight the critical role each person can play in giving others a new chance at life.
